Greetings Men of Influence,
I hope that everyone has had a good summer and are looking forward to a strong finish to 2010. It’s hard to believe that there are only 4 months left in this year. There are some great resources available to us over the next couple months that I am very excited to share with you. I first want to thank the men of Abundant Life Family Ministries for hosting our August fellowship breakfast. I also want to thank Pastor Tim McIntyre of Marion Oaks Assembly of God for bring the message. There was some great discussion at the tables over the topic of our leadership in the home.
Our September fellowship will be from 8 to 10 AM on the 18th and will be hosted by Marion Oaks Assembly of God located at 13977 SW 32nd Terr. Rd in Marion Oaks. Our speaker this month will be Pastor James Young of Abundant Life Family Ministries. Please call the MOAG church office at (352)347-3001 to let them know how many you will be bringing to the fellowship. We want to be sure that there is plenty of food. Bring a guest and remember that every man 10 and up is welcome.
The next opportunity I want to share with you is Men’s Fraternity which is being hosted by Central Christian Church. This powerful Bible study entitled “The Quest for Authentic Manhood” kicks off on September 14th and will be held every Tuesday morning from 6 to 7:30 AM. You can register on line at www.centralchristianocala.org or call the church office at 622-1119. The cost is 10.00 for the study guide.
On October 23rd Florida Men of Integrity will be hosting the national men’s equipping conference – Iron Sharpens Iron, which will be held at Trinity Baptist Church in Ocala. There is great expectation around this conference as we are anticipating having at least 1000 men in attendance. We have two great keynote speakers (Rod Handley and Dale Schlafer) and 16 different equipping seminars.
